If an employee may have come in contact with or develop symptoms of COVID-19(shortness of breath, cough, and fever), the employee should notify their supervisor, contact their doctor, be tested, and self-quarantine. The employee should report test results to HR. Returning to work should not occur until individuals are symptom free and have obtained a doctor’s note.
In the event that a Lawson Electric employee is confirmed to have COVID-19, it is the responsibility of Lawson Electric to inform fellow employees of their possible exposure to COVID-19 in the workplace. However, they must maintain confidentiality as required by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The fellow employees should then self-monitor for symptoms. All employees, customers, and vendors will be notified about the potential exposure to COVID-19.
Lawson Electric will identify where and how workers may have been exposed to COVID-19 at work while maintaining confidentiality of all workers. While identifying employees, employees should be tested and work remotely during the incubation period of 14 days. They are welcome to return to work after the waiting period is over as long as they have proof of a negative test.
Lawson Electric will continue to make appropriate changes to the Infectious Disease Response Plan as new information becomes available from the Center for Disease Control, World Health Organization, and our local health officials.
